Hi, I'm Tessa... All this started when I got the idea to make my own Christmas presents... Everything is getting more and more expensive these days and being a person of meagre incoming who loves to spoil their friends, I had to think of an alternative idea for my christmas presents.... I've been meaning to kick myself into action for a while with making my own website and publishing my diy creations on it.... But you know how it is, you've got all the things you need, but still there's something far more interesting in tv... I trawled to internet for things that you can make yourself that aren't rubbish and that aren't too difficult to do, as I don't have a sowing machine and I am always the most creative person.... There's so many nice things you can make though, like felt keyrings, candles, soaps, cookies and cakes... and I am planning to make all of those.... |

18 July 2010 I started out this weekend, finally.... I had all my supplies, it just took me a while to get going... I started out by cutting out all my felt into mini stockings for an advent calendar... after cutting everything out I decided it would be far too much work to sew it all up and started something else (typical me)... A little bit more about me.... I'm 27, originally from The Netherlands, but now living in the U.K.. Nothing Spectacular there then... Graduated an English teacher, but not having pursued that as a career I've now got a boring 9 to 5 office job... I wasn't particularly creative in school, but have gotten better over the years, and although I am still afraid of sowing machines attacking my fingers, I am ok with a needle and thread... Baking, however, is one of my favourite past times... I often bake cakes on the weekend and bring them in to work... but you know how it goes, people start demanding cakes of you, so I stopped bringing them anything... =) My cat, Sam, however, often thinks that I'm making him something special (even though he eats nothing apart from his kibbles) and starts meowing like mad and circling my legs, so I often stick him outside so I can get on with what I'm doing... (Does that sound bad?)... Picture Gallery I will upload pictures as soon as I can and as soon as I have finished something, so I will keep you posted of any antics I get up to....
